A Walk in the Hood

The third blog post in a week - what's up with that.... It is the beautiful weather we are currently enjoying here in Burlington that got me out and about in my neighborhood.  I found some interesting things - including a couple of things that you just do not see often.  I just had to take some pictures.

Those scenes reminded me of what we would see when I was a kid growing up.  Really - who leaves a bike in the middle of a walkway these days - and the classic hockey nets in the driveway along with a hoop.  Gotta love here is suburbia.

I also found the smallest cedar hedge I have ever seen - pretty.

I also found some signs of spring and Mothers day -

After all, you know it is mothers day when the pee-the-beds are out because they are God's gift to Mothers.

If you would like to see more photos of my walk please follow the My Photos link on the left side of this blog.  Please leave your comments - I would love to hear from you.

If pis-en-lit are the best God can give to the awesome mothers He went a bit light on the florist bills. It's nice to see signs of Spring everywhere, but pet peeve of mine is the icicle lights still on the garage roof. Laziness is not a virtue. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah mine too - re icicle lights -

But it is a treat to get a handful of pis-en-lits from a kid who thinks they are great flowers. I used to get those all the time. Now they know better.

Thanks for the comment.
